Will my standing desk give me varicose veins?

There are a lot of scary articles out there right now about how unhealthy it is to sit all day — so as part of Well Community's wellness challenge, I reconfigured my desk to a standing position. I can move much easier and I feel my posture is better -- but is it good for my legs to carry my weight all day?  Am I putting myself at risk for varicose veins or other circulation issues?
