When it comes to women's health concerns, do you prefer a female doctor? What if it was for a gastrointestinal disorder, does gender matter?
It would not make any difference if it was male or female physician.
I'd like to think I wouldn't judge a doc based on gender. But really, if all else was equal between two docs, I would probably choose the woman.
Skill and word of mouth recommendation is the most important to me - but if all other things are equal, yes I would always prefer a female.
I don't think it matters for GI issues. But for Gyne stuff, i'd prefer a woman.
