The healthiest restaurant on the North side is..........

At El Llano (colombian food) during lunch time you can get a $5 meal of grilled chicken breast, salad, white rice and beans.

While these are two very different places, I've found delicious food at both places. I love the sunshine salad at Uncommon Ground, and Charcoal Delights (on Foster and Kedzie) has an amazing grilled chicken cabob sandwich! Lincoln Square is a great place to be!

I am pretty certain Cousin's Incredible Vitality would be the healthiest restaurant in Lincoln Square.

I am a big fan of Latin food, so I'd have to pick Cafe 28 on Irving Park Rd. I like that I can order a few smaller sized dishes and share with others, so I'm not totally stuffed by the end of the meal. I also appreciate that the food isn't heavy or super fried, which is pretty refreshing. I also really like the salads at Bad Dog Tavern, especially the Blackened Chicken Salad and the 7 Layer Chopped Salad. Everything I've ordered from there has been really tasty. 

I totally agree with both of the other posters so far... especially Uncommon Ground! I always feel great after a meal there... energized rather than lethargic. :)

To add another to the list, one of my favorite go-to's is Dawali. It's Mediterranean food, around Lawrence and Kedzie. The food is always very fresh and reasonably priced. I'm a vegetarian, and there are several great options for me there... the veggies are always crisp, and the hummus and falafel are some of the best I've had!  

Not sure if it is within 2 miles or not, but I love Uncommon Ground in Edgewater.  Love the food, love the business model, LOVE the rooftop garden. 

To me, a good restaurant is more than just delicious food - it's about a great overall experience, and good company of course! For a special night out, my fav is Bistro Campagne. They have excellent service, a charming and romantic atmosphere, and absolutely exquisite cuisine.
