We are so excited here at the Pilates Studio in Galter LifeCenter about our new and improved studio! One of the great things about our new space is that we have had room to add some fun new Pilates equipment to enhace our client's experience during their lessons. Our newest addition are called the Towers and we are christening them by offering several sample classes this week. The Tower classes will be offered as small group training in the studio for up to 6 people starting up in August.
What is the Tower class? The Tower is a Pilates apparatus that allows us to teach the mat and Cadillac exercises in a small group setting. They are derived from the Cadillac, the biggest piece of equipment in a studio, but more compact and user friendly so that we can teach clients how to change their own springs and transition safely. The Tower is attached to a reinforced wall so that we can do standing core work, squats and upper body work with the springs. All Pilates mat classes will focus on the centering of the body, however, the springs attached to the Tower enhance the work, and help clients feel the depth of the center more deeply. These classes are perfect for the Pilates mat student looking to deepen their understanding of the mat work. They are also a great way to get into the Pilates Studio and work with the apparatus and springs without the financial commitment of private lessons. For the Pilates instructors, the Towers give us even more options to teach the ideal lesson for the clients in front of us, and like any lesson, the exercises can all be modified to suit the client. You do need to be able to get up and down off a mat to use them, but most people find the Cadillac and Tower classes go deep, but are gentle on the joints.
We hope to encourage even more people to step into the Pilates Studio here at Galter and try something new. We watch people's bodies transforming down here every day, the next one could be yours!
Sign up for one of our existing Pilates Tower classes or you can create your own with a group.
