Ravenswood businesses hit the big time

Some of Well Community’s favorite businesses in Ravenswood and Lincoln Square were recently given some well-deserved praise in the Chicago Tribune.

One article posted last week focuses on the unique layout and nature of the Ravenswood neighborhood and Ravenswood Avenue itself. The reporter specifically recognizes Lillstreet Art Center, Koval Distillery, Metropolitan Brewing and O’Shaughnessy’s Public House.

A second Tribune article last week specifically focuses on Ravenswood Used Books, located at 4626 N. Lincoln Ave. This report echoed the praise that Well Community bestowed on the bookstore in our report, “Read, relish and re-gift” this past holiday season.

On any given weeknight, you are bound to spot a Well Community staff member or two at any one of these hot spots. Seeing local small businesses in a big paper made us proud to live, work and play in the neighborhood.

What are your favorite Ravenswood businesses?

I live around Wilson & Ravenswood, so I'm lucky to be near all these great local businesses! (among others that were not listed in the article.)

I can't wait to check out the Angel Food Bakery... I pass it often but have never stopped in. After reading about her specialties, I definitely want to make a trip there! :)

Ravenswood Ave. is a really interesting stretch -- my husband does Crossfit at the gym on Ravenswood near Irving Park, while I take classes at Lilstreet near Montrose. Maybe we should keep the streak going one night and hit O'Shaughnessy's for Spacca Napoli or dinner.
