Pregnancy support, via text

This morning, the Chicago Tribune ran an article about a new service offered through the Illinois Maternal and Child Health Coalition. The “Text4Baby” program, first developed by the nationwide Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition, is the first free mobile health service providing health tips to new and expectant moms.

Participating parents-to-be get weekly text messages detailing information about the baby's development and needs, reminders about appointments, prenatal vitamins and ultrasounds, and signs of early labor. New parents receive similar weekly pieces of advice and reminders until the baby is 1 year old.

Moms and moms-to-be, what is your take on this new service? Would you use it?
