An apple a day…

Mmm. What will it be today? Gala, Honey Crisp, Granny Smith or Macintosh?

Fall is the perfect time of year to enjoy apples. As delicious as they are raw, or baked into a classic apple pie or crisp, the deliciousness doesn’t have to stop there.

Check out this great interactive post in the New York Times and get ideas on a variety of ways to cook apples as a side dish, main course or dessert item.

Our team was ooing and ahhing over the cheddar-bread-crumb apples, and the balsamic-rosemary apple dessert.
Which looks good to you?

Very creative, things I never thought to combine with apples. While the two are extremely different and easy recipes...the Cranberry-Orange and the Sauteed Apples with Brussel Sprouts and Sage caught my eye.
