Well Community’s editor-in-chief found this recipe in New Basics Cookbook and made it at a recent gathering at her home. She brought the leftovers into the office, and we all enjoyed them so much we wanted to share the recipe with you. It’s a quick recipe that can make a great snack at holiday parties.
Serves 4
The combination of spices in this blend of nuts makes for a perfect party appetizer with a little kick.
Ingredients
2 cups mixed nuts (or any kind), place in large bowl
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon curry
1 tablespoon cayenne
2 tablespoon garlic salt
2 tablespoon olive oil
Method
Combine 1 tablespoon paprika, 1 tablespoon cumin, 1 tablespoon curry, 1 tablespoon cayenne, 2 tablespoon garlic salt and 2 tablespoon olive oil, preheat oven to 350 degrees, heat olive oil in skillet, add spices and blend into oil stirring constantly, for two minutes, add oil and spice to bowl of nuts, combine.
Using a rimmed cookie sheet, scatter mixed nuts onto pan, bake 15 minutes, allow to cool on separate tray, add additional salt as needed, keeps up to a week in sealed container.
